Spazio IT has selected Oracle’s Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF) as the preferred development environment for implementing its Web applications. The rationale for Spazio IT selection is explained in this presentation.
The video here below shows some of the advantages of Oracle ADF.
A demo of Oracle ADF Rich Client Interface is available here.
Though the development side is very powerful and based on professional tools like JDeveloper and WebLogic, it is anyhow possible to implement Web applications that do not require any software license at run-time. In particular the run-time platform selected by Spazio IT consists of the following open source components:
- Oracle ADF Essentials (Oracle ADF)
- GlassFish Server Open Source Edition (Web/Application Server – downloads)
- Data Base Management System
- Java EE (Programming Language)
This run-time platform has been successfully deployed on both Linux/Unix and Windows machines.
The following image shows a Web application developed by Spazio IT for Negri Bossi S.p.A..
Spazio IT has migrated all its ADF based Web applications to Oracle JDeveloper Version 126.96.36.199.0, Glassfish 5.0 and Java 8.
